Try http://www.freecycle.org. Maybe there’s a chapter near you. You can get rid of stuff that you don’t use anymore and see if anyone has the things you’re looking for.

Rummage sales are great for finding gently used clothing and baby supplies. Also, EBay, if you have the time and patience.
Note…Make sure if you purchase a used car seat that you check the date on the side of it..it is actually an expiration date…and shouldn’t be used past that date. Also, ask if it has been involved in any accidents. Your best bet is to purchase a car seat new or get one from someone you know.

Are there any second hand stores for kids where you live? They often have good deals on maternity and furniture. Also, you can look at garage sales. Just be careful with the furniture or baby things to make sure they are safe and haven’t been recalled. Usually you can check on websites for the company that sold it. I would buy carseats new, but sometimes you can get help from a local health deapt or hospital for those, if you really need the help.

    Try the Salvation Army stores.
They usually have clothing, and sometimes cribs.

craigslist.com. Great website – you can find anything there to suit your needs! Looking for maternity clothes, baby clothes, furniture? It’s all there and possibly all at one person’s house! Check the state and town you live in and go from there! And of course there is always Walmart and possibly a Burlington Coat Factory store nearby!

Maybe talk yo your mom to see if she has anything from when you were a baby. It has sentimental value and will have even more when you see your baby with or in it. Also check out consignment and thrift shops. Depending on where you live there may be discount stores selling new clothing at cheap prices.
    Have fun with your baby.

second hand stores, newspaper classifieds, you have to watch the slats in the crib to make sure the crib is safe. and buy a brand new car seat, other than that it is wiser and cheaper to go second hand.

Yard Sales are cheaper than second hand stores so start there. Also if you or any of your family/friends belong to a church they could put your needs on a prayer list and I gaurantee you will be given tons of needed items for you & baby.

Cheap(ish) maternity clothes…Target. Very cheap…Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc. Just make sure you wash them well before wearing them.

Cheap baby furniture…I guess Wal Mart or K Mart. Just remember…you get what you pay for. There’s a reason it’s cheap (inexpensive). More than likely becuase it’s cheaply made and won’t last. Possibly even break/fall apart. If I were you, I’d spend a few extra $$ and buy good furniture (and piece of mind!)
