Author: I am buying for my niece, she is 13 months old, But I am unsure what size I would get in japan. I haven’t been able to find any conversion charts. HelP!
This is the only decent US-JP size conversion charts for infant clothes and shoes. I am afraid that it is in Japanese.

US 4 = JP 12 (12 mos)
US 5 = JP 13 (18 mos)
There is a size conversion chart for infant clothes near the bottom of the page.

US 12 mos = JP 75 (28.5-30.5 ins; 20.5-24.5 lbs)

These are only guidelines, so please ask your sister/brother what size your niece is in.
