As experts consider a review of UK guidelines for treating transgender children, this film follows a number of children in the US who told their parents they were born in the wrong body.
In America, children under 16 can be prescribed hormone ‘blockers’ to prevent the onset of puberty, with a view to then follow with hormone treatment to become their new gender. This film follows the American experience.
Eight-year-old Josie was born a boy but has been living as a girl for two years since revealing the full extent of his feelings about his identity to his mother.
Kyla is also eight. She was born a boy but loves anything pink and sparkly, has grown his hair, and is preparing to return for school after summer dressed as a girl for the first time. She says: ‘If I had to wear boys’ clothes and be a boy for the rest of my life, I’d probably die.’
They have both been diagnosed with gender dysphoria.
Sixteen-year-old Chris, who was born a girl, started testosterone treatment at 14. He now has a deep voice and plentiful body hair, and shaves regularly.
These children and their parents reveal what it is like to face life-changing questions, giving a frank insight into a subject most people never have to consider.

May 14, 2010 at exactly 1am in the morning the contraction started.. I decided not to panic thinking it might be a false alarm … as the hours passed by the contraction starts to be intense and painful.. 2 am I started to walk and walk in the living room to remove the pain and straighten my hair lol.. 3am i cant bear the pain anymore that i decided to stand awake beside the bed.. He woke up and was scared because he recall the PARANORMAL ACTIVTY MOVIE lol. I told him I think I will give birth today he panic but before we rush to the hospital we stay one hour to count if the contraction is constant every five minutes 
and it was! so I change clothes calmly and stilll cool but my husband was terribly in panic;. He drove the car nervously and in panic but still safely. We arrived in the hospital around 4 am.. and I was admitted urgently and I suffered the intense pain for nine hours, around 10 am the epidural was injected preparing for the delivery and I am 6 cm dilated at that time….exactly 12:18 in the afternoon I gave birth to our first baby cedric james gonzales giving three hard pushes and nine training pushes.. Every pain was worth it when the baby came out. My husband was beside me giving support and courage.. He never leave me in each and every moments.

Ah, ropa usada (sp. for used clothing) in Hidalgo, TX where one can buy clothes by the pound in warehouses where the clothes are piled high! Not all of the clothes are used. Some still have the stickers and tags on it. All across the country, stores dump their unsold items by binding them between palettes and selling it to the ropas by the truckload. You can find sweet deals, but you have to work for it. (That’s fine by me. I have more time than money, AND I can proudly state I paid 33ยข / lb. for what I am wearing.)
I was introduced to the “rag barns” by some Canadian snowbirds in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas back in like 2005. The ladies of the RV parks go to the ropas to buy clothes for silly fashion shows as well as to buy materials for quilt making. (The quilts are then donated to the poor each holiday season.)
It sure was fun to let Cooper climb and tumble on the 9-12 foot pile of cloth. However, I would NOT stop paying attention for even a second. It’s not a situation where one would want to play an impromptu game of “Where’s the Baby?”
