When you found out you were expecting a little girl did you want everything to be pink? I just went to wal mart and printed of my cousin’s registry and I was rather amused to find that everything on it from the travel system, swing, and toys to the infant tub and clothes were requested in pink. My baby’s travel system was pink, but i didn’t care too much about the other stuff. It just gave me a chuckle to see it :)

Absolutely NOT. in fact i HATE the color pink, and requested on my shower invite that i NOT get anything pink!! My colors were light green and light purple. .

Oh of course i loosened up on my pink boycott when it turned out to be my daughter’s favorite color..*sigh*- what can ya do, ya know? lol

she’s 3 now. (my avatar) she is my only girl in a house full of boys…i still hate pink. :P

I wanted a pink car seat because I have seen so many gender neutral looking newborns and I wanted to make sure everyone knew my daughter was a girl. But for the excessive baby furniture I wanted a neutral tone that matched my living room. Plus, I plan to have multiple children and I don’t want my boy in a pink swing or a pink stroller.

Yes, I had pink on the brain! It was so exciting. But I liked things that had lilac, pink, green and yellow colors on it as well.

I actually tried to avoid pink as much as possible. I picked a lot of yellows and pastels. Even her coming home outfit was orange instead of pink.

Now my 4 year old adores pink and that’s all she wants to wear.

I have a baby girl, and honestly I didn’t want everything in pink but it’s hard to find things for girls that AREN’T pink, lol. Boys can have blue and green and orange and red, but for girls it’s like pink or nothing.

I guess there is yellow and purple, too.

I don’t know, I think these color schemes for boy vs girls are silly. I see no reason why a girl can’t have blue things and a boy can’t have pink things. They’re babies, all they care about is if it’s bright and fun to look at, haha.

Well when I found out I was having my little girl I already had two older boys at home. I went pink crazy. My daughter does not own anything that is not almost completely pink. From crib set, to swing, to high chair, to receiving blankets and oncies, clothes, toys, everything.

I might have gone a little over bored though, because now we are having our fourth (and last) child and we found out it’s another boy. Now all my baby stuff is completely girl oriented and I have nothing that can go for a boy.

No way. I was set on doing the nursery in blues and browns or something neutral. But I knew my husband really wanted a pink nursery. He was super excited to have a girl.
So she has a pink nursery, but her swing, stroller, car-seat etc.. are gender neutral.
