my son is 13 months old and for his whole life the boys clothes in the infant section at walmart seems to be getting smaller and smaller but the girls section is getting bigger and bigger. i was lucky to find clothes that were his size before they were gone i had to by his summer clothes in january when the display hit the floor because now they are all gone well for his size any way. i called the 1-800 number and the manager of my local store called me back and said that they were in the process of starting a remodel of that section and that there would be more there. i was like that does not fix the problem of there not being any boy clothes there. you would think that since the boy clothes go like hot cakes there would be more.
so do any of you other mommies fell the same or is it just my area?
glad to know that i am not the only one. i just do not see why there are so many girls and not boys.
yea i know about meijers but they do not have them down where i live i kind of like them better at least while i lived in ohio but i was not a mom then
we should all PROTEST walmart but it will be hard because i can not afford target or other stores for that matter
Damian has cute shirts and shorts for the summer but when its fall and winter i do not know what we will do.
most of the shirts have cute sayings on them like.
my dad knows alot buy mommy knows better
thats it i am telling grandpa
i do not have to take this i am going to grandmas
and so on they are so cute
pipers mommy where do you live in my area there are maybe 5 racks of boys and at least 10 girls. i find almost all of his clothes cute the only thing that i do not find cute is the ya gabba gabba line but do not like show oh and sponge bob
I have been noticing that as well.It is very aggravating..There is very little space for boys clothing where I live, whereas the girls have more than half of the baby section.Drives me crazy.
Amen!
I was wondering the same thing myself! I don’t stop for clothes there much… but when I am in walmart I always take a look just in case. I live in Virginia and the boys baby section just down right sucks!
Glad to know I wasn’t the only one wondering

I feel the same. I am able to find my sons size, however there are always way more girls close to choose from.

It seems like it’s always harder to find boy clothes, no matter where you look. Meijer has a pretty good selection, or Carter’s. Meijer prices are about the same as walmart.

OH GOSH! My Wal-Mart SUCKS for boy infant clothes! I just traveled 2 hours yesterday to the next biggest town to get cute outfits for him for Easter! I got them at Old Navy! Wal-Mart never has anything for him except jammies!

Yes, Walmart has hardly any baby boy clothes.
Its sad that they run all these other businesses out of business by flooding the market with lower prices, and then take away all the variety they once promised.
I shop at once upon a child for clothes, and then only pick up new things when I see them on sale and they catch my eye.
Walmart is a B*tch. Damn cooperate chains ruining the US!

My husband and I actually refused to shop their forever. We went two years without even setting foot into walmart. It wasn’t until we had our son that we ended up going back. It all started with a diaper sale. We try to buy as little as possible, but we go there because diapers, wipes, toilet paper, cleaning products, and household supplies is cheap. I would love to never have to shop there again.
Walmart stinks for infant boys clothing. Ours has maybe two shelved areas and that’s it! Not to mention the toddler clothing is always bugs or robots. Nothing cute whatsoever.
I’ve noticed the same thing happening at Target too. I use to like Target when Noah was younger but now that he’s older the toddler/older baby clothing is not very desirable.
Old Navy and Carters seem to be the only places that still have cute clothing and a prett good selection for boys vs. girls.

I think that most stores seem to carry more girl clothing than boys. This is because it is easier to come up with cute girls clothing than boys. I am pregnant with a boy right now and have just started noticing this. We go to places like Burlington Coat Factory because they have more to choose from for a low price.

LOL. We shop at Walmart at least once a week! LOL. I get my son’s formula there and his baby food.
But yes, I do buy some of his clothes from Walmart and you are right. The section for boys clothing is teeny tiny! BUT it’s like that at Target, Children’s Place, Carters.. ANYWHERE you go. It’s so hard to find a variety of clothes for baby boys!

I have a daughter and I see it the opposite. Every where I go has such cute boy stuff, and nothing really cute for girls. Target, Walmart, anywhere….I think it’s just the whole "grass is greener on the other side" thing. I have a hard time finding cute girl stuff and I’m sure you have a hard time finding boys clothing. Does this make sense to anyone but me? lol. I got like no sleep last night….

I feel the same way. I hate the fact that Walmart doesn’t have a good selection of baby boys clothing. I finally got so fed up with it I went to Target and Belk for some pants and shorts for this summer. I usually wouldn’t do this because other stores are so expensive but he really needed some pants and shorts.
Edit to add: Belk has a sale going on right now. Most of the baby cloths are 40% off. If you have one in your area you should go there to see if you like anything. We got my son the cutest outfit. for like $10 marked down from like $18.
