I am 28 and I do this. Target’s girl section has some cute clothes and they are usually little versions of the adult clothes. If they’re age appropriate go for it.

At 30 years old and still going to clubs along with wearing kids’ clothes I’d say it’s time for you to grow up. If you can’t even afford adult clothes at Wal-Mart something is not right. I’ve seen plenty of good adult women’s clothing (not old lady clothes and not plus-size either) in smaller sizes; often far more than what is in the plus-size section.
While I’d normally argue you should wear whatever makes you comfortable, it seems a bit sad you are 30 and still wearing a child’s clothing because you can’t afford adult clothes.

I do it all the time! I wear a size 3 and some of the T shirts, underwear and socks are more affordable. My warm up sweats I get from the boys department too. I have a few girlfriends that shop there too. I can’t wear the girls size jeans because i am built with hips but I can get away with wearing a lot there. I love Wal mart!

In some circumstances it’s okay. I am a teenager and when I look at the childrens clothing, I see things that are made for children and for the most part I would never wear them. Most childrens clothing has butterflies or hearts or colorful stripes or patterns that are very loud and childish, or sparkles or ruffles and frills that are unmistakably made for children. Women should not be wearing them, and I would not wear them myself because I like to dress my age, not 10 years younger. But if you find something like a solid tee shirt or un-embellished jean or something classic that wouldn’t look too different if you bought it in the womens section, then you could definitely pull it off.
If you’re worried about size, why not try the juniors section? A lot of their clothing are less expensive (though not as cheap as childrens clothing) and have more adult-like styles.
Also, how ever small you may be, childrens clothing are not made to fit the shape of an adults body. adults have curves that children dont and i think that the shape of childrens clothing would be very unflattering on an adult.
Well this is just my opinion and my advice. Of course, I am no fashion expert and you can wear whatever you want to wear. Good luck.
