Cool Childrens Clothes

Lots of people told me that my previous ‘How to draw anime/ manga boy’ videos were too dark/light.
-___-” It was really bothering me, so I made a new video.

Steps:
1- Draw the Eyes
2- Draw outline of the Face
3- Facial Features (Nose, mouth, ears)
4- Draw Hair
5- Fill in and add little details
6- Draw the clothes
7- Fill in the hair
8- Fix up the lines
9- Highlights
10- Shade

Tips on drawing a cute boy:
When I say ‘cute’ i mean like adorable ‘awww’ kine
- Age:
From baby – 13/14

-Features:
Big eyes(not TOO big)
Small nose
Add an expression(like cheerful/smilely or troublemaker tough boy)

- Clothes: Clothes can tell a person alot about a character.
(I really don’t like the thought of making boys wear pants above the knee or wearing girly ribbons/ jewelry). My style- Simple pants(knee length), a shirt, and shoes do the trick.
Adding oversized/ baggy clothes will show how small the character is which = cute

- Contrasting Images (favorite technique!)
*You’re at a banquet and you see a little boy dressed in a collared shirt and a tie!
*A kid trying to act like an adult
That’s contrasting images!!! It goes against the character. You don’t expect kids to try act/ look adult like or try be all tough and grown up.

Adding little cute items like a teddy bear, toy robot, a backpack

Example anime characters:
‘Hunny’ from Ouran High
‘Ciel’ from Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji)
‘Karen’ from Tales of vesperia
‘Hitsugaya’ from Bleach

Why do I ask this? A: I see alot of videos on youtube that has the ‘How to…’ but some don’t actually help people alot—and I don’t my videos to be one of those!
