Author: I’m thinking my daughter will wear size newborn for about another week and a half making her a few weeks old.
A couple weeks is pretty common. My kids were at the opposite ends. lol My son was 7lbs 12 oz at birth but chunked out fast and was wearing 6-9 months by 3 months or so. My daughter was 5 lbs 13 oz and in preemie clothes for the first few weeks, then newborn for about a month. It varies so much for each baby.

My little girl wore them for 6 weeks. I had her at 37w6d, and she was 6lbs4oz, and 18 1/4 inches tall, so she was, and still is a little peanut.

My daughter wore them about 6-7 weeks, but she was small when born. 6.10 and 6.4 when we left the hospital. She is also a slow weight gainer, even though she eats often. I was so sad when I packed them up. : ( at almost 4 months, most of her 0-3 month clothes are still too big.

differed with each brand. my daughter is now 17 months and she still wears some onesies and things that are 6-9 months. she had one outfit that was a newborn size and she could wear it till she was about a year.

twins were only in them till they were about 3 weeks old. Rusty was in them for about 2.

My daughter was 9 lb 7oz when she was born so she didn’t fit into anything newborn, and even some of the the 0-3 months only fitted for a few weeks. I find it really upsetting when they grow out of a favourite outfit.

My daughter is now 12 days old. I had to switch her to 0-3 months clothing this past Sunday. She was 8lbs 12.2oz when she was born. So she was only in newborn clothes for about a week.

My son worse Newborn diapers ( with the umbilical cord cut out ) till his cord came off which was around 10 days. After that we started to use size 1 diapers even though they were a little big.

My son nearly 3mths is the size of a 6mth old. So he didnt wear his newborn stuff for very long at all. Boys tend to have growth spurts anyway so its quite common. My daughter is 5 weeks and is still in newborn clothes although she is pushing it in length but the 0-3 months are huge on her. She is long and skinny! She also still wears newborn diapers and my guess is she will for another week to 2 weeks her waist and legs are so tiny the size one fall right off her. She was 7lbs 6oz when she was born but is built just like her daddy she can eat and eat and is just a skinny butt:)
