Where do I find cheap baby clothes?

Hello everyone! I’m an eighteen year old who is six months pregnant and living on fun minimum wage paychecks and did I mention have no help from anyone, just me. And I’ve noticed that everything is expensive, does anyone know where I can find cheap baby things? I’ve already hit up every second hand store including good will and the salvation army. They have clothes but no cribs or strollers. At this point any imput would be nice! Thanks!

Salvation army/goodwill doesn’t like to carry cribs and playpens because they don’t want to train the staff in how to figure out if the product is safe or not because their goal is to train staff and have them move on so they can help more people get experience that they need to get a job, or they employ people with disabilities.

Second hand shops should have cribs, playyards, etc but they aren’t necessarily cheap.

Also check out meetup.com and yahoo groups (I can’t even list the url without the http as yahoo answers blocked it) com for parenting groups near you. Try to find someone with a baby 6-12 months older than yours will be that will hand things down to you.

Make sure you get the safety checklist for cribs and carseats from your government (it varies by country). Buy a NEW crib mattress -you shouldn’t even use a crib mattress between siblings as it can increase the SIDS risks and they aren’t sure why the theories are the break down in fire-retardant and mold/mites in the mattress. Only accept a second hand car seat from someone that loves your kids as much as you do (close friends and family) you don’t need an infant seat you can use a convertible seat from birth (if that’s what you are offered, but generally people have infant seats to give as they are used for such a short time). Call the manufacturer to make sure the seat isn’t recalled or expired. -Remember most recalls are not to destroy the products its normally a small fix, and even if it is a destroy they replace it even if you got it for free.

Infant and toddler clothing sizes – What is the difference between 24M and 2T?

I thought it was just a difference in how different brands present it but today I was buying sweatshirts for my son and they had the same exact shirts both by Hanes and some were labelled 24 M and others were labelled 2T. Is the 2T acually a bit larger?

2T are usually a little longer in the pants and the torso of the shirts.

24 mos is usually a little wider in the butt, because they assume those are for kids who still wear diapers.

I don’t want the usual -baby blue- boy clothes, i need a smart (comfy) outfit for 2 special occasions. i want a shirt, trousers (not track pants or jeans) and a sleeveless jumper or smart cardigan. (a clip on tie would be a bonus!) baby will b almost 8 weeks old at the time. every shop i try only do the smart clothes from 3 months and up. thanks a million in advance if anyone can help.
by the way im in ireland. no wallmart etc. gap dont deliver by post to ireland and next clothes are from 3 months for the smart/stylish clothes.

Baby Gap is great but expensive. Also next kids. Alternatively you could use Mother Care or Adams.

I have a bunch of clothes in my closet that I haven’t worn in years. Right now I’m 13, so most of the clothes aren’t designer clothes. I’m looking for a place to sell them. I want to sell them online, but not on ebay. We also have a bunch of old baby clothes that are in good condition and a lot of little boy’s clothes that are also in good condition. What are the best places to sell these? Not on ebay. thanks!

i mean i have ideas, but i can’t sew, and probably run a clothes line, but i wanna be like volcom, or nordstrom, or converse, or could i just sell my ideas to a clothes company?

hell yeah, get a hemp fabric supplier and have a nice badge sown unto it, and you got yourself an uber nature’s brand! just make up some nice tags and product concept with it!

Any type- designer, low end, online, not online. Anywhere in the world

Check out used/second hand stores in your area. I often find clothes that still have the tags on there!
Also, places like H&M, The Gap, Old Navy, etc all have cute baby clothes for relatively cheap.
