There is def. a difference between 24 month clothing and toddler 2T clothing. For one many clothing manufacturers will have infant clothing sizes meaning 0-3-6-9-12-18-24-36 month. And then they will begin their toddler size where they will have 2T 3T 4T etc. The infant size are commonly designed to accommodate a diaper better. Many times in the infant sizes meaning "month" you will still find snap crotches whereas you won’t with a 2T. Not always but most generally. 24 month clothing are often shorter legged than a 2T. 24 month usually refers more to an 18-24 month size. That is why when you buy something that is 12M it looks and fits so small. It is actually a 6-12 month or a 9-12 month. I hope I am making sense here for you. By the time a child is 1 or 2 they stretch out much more than a younger child. In my opinion if you have a 2 year old that is true to size you should always go for the 2T if both sizes are offered because the 24 month will be outgrown sooner than the other because it is cut to fit a child who doesn’t wear a diaper any longer. I have found that the 24 month size has an enormous waist and the legs are too short and my kids are tiny=)

My teenagers have some really fine baby/toddler clothes that I’d like to store for another 50 years. How do I preserve/store them?

Store freshly cleaned clothes wrapped in acid free tissue paper in an acid free cardboard box, and keep it in a cool, dry place. You can get the boxes and paper from craft (scrapping) stores or maybe a dry cleaners. Do not store them (or any clothes) in plastic bags EVER. It can trap moisture, and ruin the clothes.

What should it look like feel like what styles and materials

When it comes to clothing for a toddler, try clothing that is easy to take off as well as being put on. When they start potty training you dont want something on them that is going to be "time consuming" and is easy for them to pull down and pull up. This is better in case of accidents. My son loves wearing sweatpants, for one, they are comfortable and since it is cooler, they keep his little legs warm and he can pull them up and pull them down with no help. Just dont do bodysuits, these are hard for children to take on and off.

For a child that gets dirty alot, try clothing in darker shades, that way if there is a stain that you cant get out, at least its not real easy to see. There are also childrens clothing that is available in "stain resistant" especially pants. You can do some research on the internet to see what stores have these items available.

For night time, you would want something that is "flame resistant", that doesnt catch on fire. And is also easy to get on and off in case your child wakes up needing to go to the potty or if your child gets too hot.

I went to buy some new clothes for my son who is 8 months at Target the other day and immediately went to the "infant" section. I found myself sad that his size is in the toddler section now. He’s in 12M clothing. Am I the only ridiculous mother that feels like this?

Awww that’s so cute, I am not there yet but I am dreading it only because i love him being my little guy however they are also reaching another wonderful age where u will see ur child getting big enough to run around in snow and when he or she slips, it will be you ur child will coming running too to make it better, I am just getting ready to puty mine into 6 months to 9 months clothing so i have a little while yet i guess.

Any good clothing stores for toddlers that you know of that I don’ t have listed:

Caters
Children’s Place
Osh Kosh
Gymboree

I am looking to get my twins their Christmas dresses because I want to get their pictures done for Christmas cards so I can have them ready sometime in Nov. I have been looking online and some of these stores mentioned above had a horrible selection. I was just wondering if any mommy’s out there had a store that they shopped at for their little one that they can suggest?

You could check out www.magickidsusa.com they have brand name clothes for toddlers at 50 to 70% below retail price.

There are quite a few choices in the section: INFANT & TODDLER GIRL FORMALWEAR

Discount Code: MK56955

I’m aware of the baby/toddler clothing sizes <0, 0, 1, 2, 3, etc., but this morning when I was looking at ordering clothes for my 2 year old online, I noticed that some suppliers advertise their clothing sizes with a ‘T’, for example ’3T’ & ’4T’.

What does the T stand for? How can I compare these ‘T’ sizes to regular clothing sizes (if applicable)?
I’m still not quite sure if I know what you mean…

Is there a difference between children’s size 3, and 3T?

T is for toddler. A size 3 is for a child that has outgrown a toddler size.*

Circo and Cherokee, both have cute mix and match — no animals to help you along, but its pretty easy to tell what matches. They are about a dollar more per piece, but the quality is so much better!

I always find a strange smeel when I take my clothe out of the drier. Maybe I’m adding too much or too lil detergent.

I’m not a fan of Dreft because of the cost and the smell. Try the Arm and Hammer free and clear detergent- it’s like $2.50 a bottle- for the same amount as a bottle of Dreft. I think you will like it better.

On my sims 2 i have just adopted a little boy and i do not like his clothes, so i went out and bought him some new clothes.
i do have a dresser to put them in but i was wondering if there was any way to change his clothes.

You need to use the baby changing table found in buy mode under the teddy bear icon.
