My SIL works in a nursery and she told me that it’s a nuisance when parents don’t pack an extra set of clothes for the babies / toddlers. So much so that to get their point across, when a child needs a change of clothes and they don’t have a set of their own, they will dress the boys in girls clothes and vice versa.

I think this is very cruel and degrading. She thought it was funny. What are your thoughts on this?

If the kids are little, they probably don’t notice. But, if this were my nursery and I found they were doing it just to be mean (they had other clothes and just didn’t use them) I would be mad. The other side of that is that parents may bring the clothes back if they are the wrong gender, but keep them if they are the right one. I think they should charge for extra clothes until they are returned and that might fix the problem without being degrading while teaching parents.

I totally agree. The section for girls is always twice the size of the boys and the boys clothes are all the same! I just started shopping for spring/summer clothes for my son (He is going into 3T) and i have had to go to so many different stores just to find some cute clothes! When are clothing makers going to realize that moms like their boys to look cute too! Try Kohls. I usually find some pretty cute stuff there.

I’m buying a My Twinn doll for my daughter as a gift and want to include clothes, etc. The clothes on the website are high, especially if you buy the matching girl clothes. So, I was wondering if toddler clothes (size 1 or 2) would fit the doll. It would be easier to buy toddler clothes & cheaper if it would fit.
If anyone has tried this, please let me know.

I think you should buy an American Girl doll because she is plastic, not porcelain. For my American Girl dolls I use homemade clothes that you can buy on the Internet.

i need some good websites to find toddler boutique style clothing for a christmas pageant. no"bead"dresses . Also somewhere to find cute and unique bathing suits for pageants also. or any good related sites that might be helpful thanks!

Please don’t put your toddler through the horrors of pageant life. I really don’t understand why mothers do this to their children.

Clothes for small girls (including toddlers) seem to be designed in the same styles as teen clothes even though little girls are a completely different shape. Why is this? Where can little girls get sensible clothes that are comfortable to play in?

The problem is children are being increasingly sexualise these days. Small children are allowed the same freedoms as once would only be given to older children and this has resulted in them being more demanding and losing their childhoods. They think they are teenagers and want to dress like them. And clothing manufacturers are jumping on this by selling bras and g-strings to four-year-olds. And the saddest thing is that parents buy it all.

At Traders Village I found several stands that sell childrens clothing at a very low price, all have original tags on them, from Carter’s, TCP, etc…
Where do they get them?
