Most of my son’s Newborn Clothes had pockets, I know he never used them for anything .. did your baby use them for anything?

What did your Newborn put in their clothes pockets?

A comb, a pack of tic tacs, a map of the living room, and some tags to chew

i have not had my bundle of joy yet but i am just wondering when it comes to shopping for newborn clothes how fast will the newborn outgrow the clothes..do newborn clothes usually come in 0-3 months size?? so will they last for 3 months?? im just trying to ecide how many newborn outfits to really get if he or she will outgrow them really soon thanks!

Depends on baby. MIne grew out of newborn clothing in 2 weeks. People are right, clothes sizes are terrible they are never right.

I am 32 weeks and wanted to start washing my newborns clothes. Do you think its too eary to wash them even though I still have 7 more weeks left before she arrives?

To Michua: Its called Dreft. =)

I also washed all of my son’s clothes up when I was 30 weeks, and kept them all in zip-up bags so no dust could get on them. When he was born at 41 weeks, all I had to do was pack them into drawers!

Good luck and congrats! <3

I have a ton of newborn clothes but my doctor is saying the my baby is going to be a big boy. I’m worried nothing will fit him.

My son is a 2 months old and over 13 pounds and recently I found a onesie that was labeled NB 5-8 pounds and I looked at it and said to myself, let’s see if it still fits and it did. It really depends on the brand. It’s kinda like I had size six pants that would fit and size 10 that where too tight.

i’d like to know where, all you mothers bought newborn baby clothes from…Ive already started shopping for my baby, and i bought sleepsuits and vests from marks&spencer and some cute white outfits from GAP, but where would you recommend, in regards of quality and price? I live in the UK.

don’t spend too much on clothes yet as your baby will grow out of them really quickly next has some really good quality baby wear but i would wait till you baby is a little older and everyone will be able to see the clothes that he/she will be wearing as younger babies are always tucked away in their baskets wrapped up in a baby shawl.
you will need bodysuits rather than vests and m&s is good if you find any in the sale otherwise primark and boots are good. for sleepsuits again primark or boots and do buy a bit bigger sizes as they will last longer
good luck with the baby xx

I’ve brought just about enough of newborn clothes. But I’ve brought more 0-3 month clothes as I’m guessing he’ll grow quickly and fit into them. Is this true?

There is no way to know for sure… in fact, I think baby clothing sizes are a total crock of crap anyway… they change quite dramatically from brand to brand. My son was in some newborn sizes for 2 weeks, for other closthes he was in them for 2 months. He’s 10 months now and wears clothes any where from 6-9 months to 12-18 months. He’s even got a hat that is labeled 3-6 months that he still wears.

Words of wisdom… prepare all you want, but there is no way to avoid finding yourself short on some clothes and having clothes that don’t fit anymore hanging on shelves still with tags on them.

My son was born exactly 3 weeks ago. He was 6lbs 8oz and 18in. He still doesn’t fit into his newborn clothes. They’re soo long on him. I’m just wondering how long your babies where in newborn clothes for?! All of his 0-3 months are clothes for the summer. I’m worried they won’t fit till winter. Lol. Owell if that’s the case. I’m just curious though.

My daughter is 2 months and is just now able to wear some of her newborn clothes. She was 6lbs and 6ozs when she was born and now only weighs 8lbs 4ozs. I have some of the cutest summer dresses and capri outfits for 0-3 mths that I know she won’t be able to wear before it gets too cold. I have been able to take back some of the clothes that I bought but the trouble that I have been having is everything is going on sale so something that i bought for ten dollars they are only wanting to give me 4 dollars for because I don’t have the receip still. That makes me mad when they do that. Hopefully your son will be able to wear all of his cute outfits soon..
