When you found out you were expecting a little girl did you want everything to be pink? I just went to wal mart and printed of my cousin’s registry and I was rather amused to find that everything on it from the travel system, swing, and toys to the infant tub and clothes were requested in pink. My baby’s travel system was pink, but i didn’t care too much about the other stuff. It just gave me a chuckle to see it 
Absolutely NOT. in fact i HATE the color pink, and requested on my shower invite that i NOT get anything pink!! My colors were light green and light purple. .
Oh of course i loosened up on my pink boycott when it turned out to be my daughter’s favorite color..*sigh*- what can ya do, ya know? lol
she’s 3 now. (my avatar) she is my only girl in a house full of boys…i still hate pink.

This is my first child, and I’m trying to organize the clothes we have for him according to size. Only I just realized that some of them are just marked "3" or "6" or "9". If something is marked "3" does that mean it’s 0-3 months, or 3-6? I know it probably depends on who made the clothes, but a lot of the ones that are marked with just one number are Carters brand. I also know from baby-sitting other kids that the month is just a guideline (for example, I sat for a little girl who was 15 months, but wore stuff in the 18 months size) and that the clothes are really based on weight, but… I would like to keep all the clothes together and don’t know if I should put things marked 3 with my other things that are marked 0-3, or if they should be with the rest of my 3-6 stuff? I also realize this may be a dumb question, but like I said before it’s my first!
Edit: I know 3t is toddler, but these are NOT toddler clothes, lol. Carters does their clothing brand (at least all the Carters we have is done like this) with just a NB, 3, 6, 9… I know for sure there’s no way the 3 we have is a toddler outfit. But thanks y’all for the answers so far!
I had the same thing happen to me. I had no idea too!! My first child born June 19. I had the size 3 with the 0-3. But I soon learned that they belonged with the 3-6 months. My daughter is now 11 weeks and wearing the 0-3 months still. the size 3 months are too big for her. She currently weighs 11 pounds 14 ounces and is 24 inches (all the 50% percentile)
The other night I had a dream that I was getting ready for work, but when I went to pick out something to wear I couldn’t find any of my clothes. Instead I found a whole bunch of clothes that belonged to other people. I tore through my closet and drawers and even the dirty laundry. I found racks and drawers and piles full of infant and baby clothes, kimonos, big girl moomoos, mens’ suits, etc., all clothes that I could not wear. By the end I was panicking and both of my arms were flinging clothes all over the place looking for something of mine or ANYTHING I could wear. I finally found a lime green dress (not mine) that was the most presentable thing that would fit me, but even that was risky because it was little and didn’t have a back. It was one of those halter-type dresses where it goes around your neck at the top. That was the end of the dream…
Is there any meaning to this? :/
More detail – the clothes did not belong to anyone I knew.
Clothes are typically symbols of our personal identity. the clothes we choose tell a lot about ourselves. Now, you are getting ready for work, and you don’t have your own clothes. That tells me a lot about your work – that you are doing work to make money and not something that "suits" you – it is not your passion.
Lime green is far from the typical black-gray-white work wardrobe. It is, indeed, "risky." It is also a far more creative color. I would suggest that a job that "suited" you more would be something more creative where you could express yourself more. and yes, this would be risky. But others in your life and formulated your path – not you.
I want to buy cute baby clothes for preemie sizes and infants. I need a boy and a girl items at good prices. Any ideas what stores are good? what was good about them?
I forgot to mention, I only want new stuff not used from ebay.

You have a nice variety of items, but I think you might be over priced on the lot compared to garage sales, etc.
I’m asking this since I’m 13yrs old and have a 2yr old sister who we are close and bonded.Ever since she was born I was a 2nd mom to her and my mom’s helper since she’s sometimes busy.Anyways this includes when my mom asks me to take my 2y.o sister either a bath or shower take off my clothes and get in the bath that way it’s more convenient plus conserving water, plus not having my clothes splashed with water.
The question is do any of you preteen/teen (i.e 10-16y.o) girls here in America strip down either take a bath and or shower with you younger infant/toddler sister?
The reason I ask this is since I one time both of my parents were out to run errands, and my big brother was at home with my little sister and me.My mom asked me to take her a shower/bath and my friend was supposed to come hang out and help with her homework, that she could come inside if she wanted to.When I was in the bath helping my sister bath her, my friend knocked on the door, my brother answered it and said that I was going to meet her within 15 minutes.15 minutes later when I met her in the living room I told her that "I was in the bathroom helping my little sister bath while I was taking a bath."She got this puzzled raised eyebrow look at her face, like what I was doing was weird.I explained to her that there’s nothing wrong helping a same sex sibling take a bath while taking a bath yourself at the same time.
So this brings me this question if this is less common in America.Since both of my parents where born Australia, both sides of my parents had parents born and raised in Europe, including European indoor laid back attitude towards nudity.
I personally don’t see anything wrong as long it’s same sex..

Well it’s more common in American culture for moms to bath with there toddler of the same sex, and yet they adjust well to that seeing there mother developed body with breasts, pubes in pubic area.It’s the same way the other way around like when I bath/shower with my 2yr old sister.Here in America people don’t make a big deal out of mothers bathing/showering with there at least 5yrs and younger daughter.
BTW i’m developing slowly it wont be till I’m 16 and fully develped.It’s no big deal that I have breasts developing, whereas a child of even the same sex doesn’t see it as sexual.
lol im exactly like u im a 13 yr old girl and i have a 3yr old lil sister..im basically her second mommy and were so close to each other..and i think it is perfectly normal..i take showers with my sis all the time..just as long as were both comfortable..its absolutely fine if ur the same sex and siblings..;)

I wanted to hang on to it until I found out what I was having this time. Well, he’s a boy and I don’t think my hubby would be too happy with me dressing him in pink and purple. Let me know. I personally like Zutano clothes. I don’t think you can buy directly from their site, but they link to sites that do carry their line. Zutano has really cute mix and match patterns and solids that are unique but not too crazy. It’s kind of hard to grasp how cute these clothes are by looking at pictures online, but they look super cute on the babies.
