I never really worried about designer clothing for my boys as they are boys and babies grow fast (and at the time we totally couldn’t afford it). But now I am having twin girls (and our finances are in a MUCH better place we can afford nicer things) and I want to doll them up in the same brands I like to wear. I already have gotten a lot of ralph lauren outfits, but I don’t know of many other designers that sport infant and toddler lines. What are the best quality designers that have infant clothing lines?

Christian Dior used to make beautiful baby clothes. I love Nordstrom for baby clothes too.

They were in garbage bags in the corner of my shed for the past 3 months, my lawn mower and gasoline cans are in there too. I guess I just didn’t think about it. I’m washing them right now. Is it wrong to sell them or do you think they will be okay? There are no gasoline on them just the smell.

Start the wash, use hot water and add baking soda and vinegar to the laundry detergeant. Then when it starts to agitate, pull out the handle and let them soak for a couple of hours, start the wash again. After they’re done, if they still smell like gasoline, try it again. But if after 2 times, and they still smell like gasoline, then I wouldn’t sell them.

Wonderful outfit for sale at EBay for only $0.01 Ebay username is: memlmoore901 Many more listings to come. Thanks!!!!

INSTEAD OF GETTING WIC? DUH!

well, yeah, but not everyone is as smart as you

I wanted to make some clothing for my friends baby but I ant find patterns anywhere… So i was wondering if anyone knew where I could find free printable patterns for infant clothing?

Do a google …. ALOT COME UP if your looking to pay for them you can get them free for like 1-2 dollars on ebay!

can we wash infant’s clothes in a washing machine with a regular detergent?

No if the soap powder is meant to be used for hand washing only as the foam formed in the washing tub reduces the rinsing performance of the washing machine and results in detergent particles left on clothes at the end of the washing cycle. Some detergent can be used for both hand and washing machine but it ought to be specified on the item sold.

My husband and I are having a hard time deciding what sizes to get. A lot of people keep telling us that 0-3mo. clothes they will grow right out of, so we should only get a few of them. Most people are telling us to get 3-6mo. What should we do? How long will they be in 0-3mo? How fast do common infants grow?

Since it is wintertime soon then I think you should also think about snowsuits. By February and March many stores have their Spring lineup of clothing and snowsuits can be really hard to find. It would be the worse time of year for an infant to outgrow a snowsuit and not have an immediate replacement for it. I live in the northern states and we may still have very cold days in April. If I were you I would get different size snowsuits NOW. Regardless of the size of your newborn, almost all babies grow very fast during the first 6 months.

Since you never mentioned whether you suspect your soon to be newborn is to be small, average sized or a big baby at birth then it’s impossible to know how long 0-3 month clothing will last. Probably 6 weeks if he is a big baby or 4 months if he is a small newborn.

My sons were 9 pounds at birth and weighed about 20 pounds at 6 months. Babies on average are 7 to 7 1/2 pounds at birth and about 16-18 pounds at age 6 months old. Parenting books would claim that babies double their birthweight at 6 months old but in my life experience babies gain a little more than double their birthweight at 6 months old and they don’t look overweight neither.

Infant clothing sizes is a guessing game if you are still pregnant but it helps a lot if you know the estimated birthweight. That would give you a much better idea on how much of each size to buy.

I am about to give birth…barely 2 more months to go. But still, I haven’t shopped for my baby’s clothing yet. Can anyone tell me where I could find the best deals on infant clothing? I am currently on a tight budget so somewhere with great discounts and coupons would really be helpful.

i, too am currently shopping for my first born’s clothing. as i was browsing through the net, i came across this site which offers cool deals on infant clothing. im sure you’d be as excited as i am so do check this out: http://www.babyproductsonsale.com/baby-categories/Infant_Clothing_and_Essentials/

plus, you’ll find stores that offer other baby products and essentials. have fun…
