Archive for the ‘Designer Baby Clothes’ Category

we went to see my mum last night, and she handed us a bag of clothes for our son. they were designer clothes, and we have never bought him designer before, because we don’t see the point.

she left the tags on (on purpose i think) and the coat alone cost her £45! the jeans were £40 and the top was £25.

now don’t get me wrong, it was nice of her to buy him stuff, and i appreciate it, but there are a lot of cheaper places to go. PLUS he is wrecking every piece of clothing he has atm.

would you spend that amount on clothing for a 10mos old?

Personally no, the only "designer" stuff my son has were gifts – I have in mind a Ralph Lauren Polo shirt he’s yet to grow into – No way in hell I’d buy that for him!

Most of my sons clothes are from supermarkets, eBay, Vertbaudet (using the massive discount codes never full price!)

If people want to do that as gifts then fine but I do feel a bit uncomfortable – like you say & Lynne points out, its only going to get wrecked – whats the point?

I also regularly donate (by way of old clothes) to oxfam etc – I also use their online second hand store which is another way of donating cash to them. (I just got myself some really nice things and didn’t have to go trawling through racks of stuff!)

Who in the hell would use Gucci nappies? I had no idea they even existed!!

Not long ago there was a "question" on here from a mum who was basically bragging about all of the designer labels her baby is dressed in – seriously who cares? Times are hard, you think my son will look back on his baby pics and ask why he’s not in head to toe armani? Hmmmmmmm

Sorry, I went off on one a bit then didn’t I?

I can dress my son for a fiver and often do – he still looks gorgeous!

Today he has on . . .

Beige Next cords £1.50 from eBay
A beige Vertbaudet l/s top – free because I was buying xmas gifts for niece & nephew!
A Next fleece jumper with cute design £2.00 eBay.
A vest from Primark
Red Herring Socks 5 pairs for £2 in the sales!!

i am having a baby and i was think about naming by child

Alzie Dos Equis Marsay Jackson
Koturisia Zapyer
Xylonia Prime
Phazon Atmosphere
Gucci Scion
Omastar Starmie

which names do you like the most
she likes gucci scion

i like corundum

phazon is cool though

It’s tacky but legally you can name your child that.

Actually, I met a little boy named Enzo once, after the Ferrari. Kind of cute lol, maybe an exception!

Do you know any websites where I can get designer clothes for babies and kids? I only know of chasing-fireflies.com
Cupcakes are YUM YUM: God knows I have enough money to give to people who are in need and to buy my kids nice stuff. And I enjoy doing both. If you give your kids absolutely everything they whine for, never teach them to be kind and considerate to others, they will be spoiled and bratty beyond belief. There are kids who dress cheap and are spoiled and ignorant little brats. It all depends on how you raise them. Before you judge people by how they dress, let me know that your own kids are angels. And if you don’t have any, I wish you the best in raising them in the future, I doubt you will succeed with that kind of look on life.
I have yet to find a cheap store with good quality clothing. I am not looking to spend hundreds of dollars on one item, I would just like to have my kids wear clothes that will last them more than a month.

I rarely buy designer clothes (Hartstrings, Hanna Anderssen etc) unless they are on sale. I also rarely shop at Walmart/KMart/Target for my older daughter. Once kids reach a certain age I agree that buying cheap clothes does not always pay. I paid $14 for a pair of pants at Target my daughter wanted, they were falling apart in two weeks. I can buy her Gap, lands end or Gymborie on sale and it lasts much longer.

I think Hanna Anderssen has really cute stuff and has excellent quality. I like Hartstrings too but my daughter is not crazy about their stuff. Like I said I buy stuff on sale and get good deals. I also buy a lot of stuff for both my girls at Children’s Place. Not quite the quality of Hanna Anderssen or Gymborie but I have never had problems. My oldest still has some t’s we bought there two years ago. They are finally getting too small but still look great.

I don’t think having designer clothes makes a kid feel like they are better than others. My daughter doesn’t know that her Hanna Anderssen skirt (full price) costs more than her tops from Children’s Place nor does she care. I think it has to do with how parents raise their children. I hate that people will attack someone just for simply asking a question.

I have a bunch of clothes in my closet that I haven’t worn in years. Right now I’m 13, so most of the clothes aren’t designer clothes. I’m looking for a place to sell them. I want to sell them online, but not on ebay. We also have a bunch of old baby clothes that are in good condition and a lot of little boy’s clothes that are also in good condition. What are the best places to sell these? Not on ebay. thanks!

try setting up your own store
i did it with

http://clothingaddict.com

though if its just a few items then not really worth it

Any type- designer, low end, online, not online. Anywhere in the world

Check out used/second hand stores in your area. I often find clothes that still have the tags on there!
Also, places like H&M, The Gap, Old Navy, etc all have cute baby clothes for relatively cheap.

I want baby phat rocawear apple bottoms and gucci but I deon’t want to pay the same amount. I’d say about half of the original price.Tell me the store and the price please. If you could find the store in Chicago or online.

Thanx!

try macys in the 50% off clearance.
i find all my baby phat and roca wear clothes there. :)

Have you ever bought your baby designer clothing!? Would you rather spend your money on your baby than yourself? Do you think that companies manipulate you into spending more on your child, to make you feel like you are giving your child the best start?

For my dissertation, your responses will really help. Thanks!!

I don’t think it’s wrong. If you want good, high quality clothes, maybe designer is good, especially if you had some money to spare. Some designer stores have really cute baby stuff, and maybe you really liked it. But sometime people go to the extreme. I once saw an $80 box of Juicy Couture crayons on their website. What happened to good ol’ Crayola?

boys and girls please its for the celebrities in my story

Ralph Lauren makes some baby clothes. And they are very fashionable. Look up Suri Cruise’s fashion. She is a very fashionable toddler, and I have heard that some people actually have blogs dedicated to what she wears.

Yes, or No? How do I do the shipping. I have a TON of baby clothes…some even with tags…and some designer clothing ralph lauren, the gap, rockawear…lots of carters, and little angel. Anyone know anything about selling and shipping things on Ebay…please help me out!

Personally I like selling things on Craigslist better than Ebay. With Ebay you have to make an account, take pictures of the item, post the item, figure out the shipping, etc. But with Craigslist you don’t have to ship it because the buyers pick it up at your doorstep and you don’t even have to create an account (you can if you like). If you are going to sell on Ebay you need to box up the items you’re selling and get it weighed so you know how much to charge (your local UPS store can help you with this part). Good luck!
