I need to know because I’m supposed to get something from a wishlist for a kid this Christmas, and I got size 5T outfit, assuming it’s the same as boys size 7/8. Is it the same? Or am I wrong?

The size usually goes with age. So a 5 year old will wear a 5t. Since kids are different I would go up a size to a 6. Either it will fit now or he’ll grow into it. Either way you can’t go wrong with a 6.

I work in a shoe shop, and im being trained to work on kids. Im finding it hard, not with the children, but some of the mothers are so nasty and blunt. Also the children curl up their toes so i cant fit their shoe on, and i end up having to really push their feet in – ive been told to do this but i dont want to hurt them. Im finding it really confusing working on a childrens section, with the width AND the size..
i think im better on adults so hopefully i will be working on this section more often, but i need to be trained for kids anyway..

Any advice??

Not sure why this is in sociology but anyway as a parent I would never want anyone other then myself fitting a shoe for my child. Especially young children under 10 years old. But that’s just me but still how do you even know the parent wants you to put the shoe on the child, I wouldn’t want you to. The task is hard enough for a parent never mind asking a stranger to work on a kid. I understand that it is a job but I wouldn’t want someone fitting me with a shoe and I am an adult. The whole thing, especially for a child, is just a little too personal and if the parent is there why wouldn’t the parent want to do this, kids shoes have to fit right and a parent usually knows their kids well enough to tell if it fits right. I would say a parent should put the the shoe on the child. The salesperson can do all the other work, help sizing the foot, selling the shoe, getting the various sizes etc….but fitting it onto the child can be left to a the parent, the salesperson could tie it, buckle it…I have actually never considered anything else, do parents really expect you to do that, try not doing it at first and letting the parent have the chance of doing it (only if it doesn’t get you fired of course) and see. But if your boss expects you to or if a customer expects you to then your just stuck and have to do your best, and in that case make sure the shoe for a child is plenty big enough.

I’m looking for cute outfits that are not too expensive that someone from age 11-13 would wear to school. Preferably outfits that are not too tight and more loose. Also accessary ideas would be helpful too! Thank you!

I need to know of a place that sells quality plus sized children/teen clothing. Maybe something not TOO expensive, but not cheap-o. Any one have any ideas?

Don’t go to Holister, Abercrombie and stores like that they have too much SLIM stuff. Try the mall. Your nearest mall probably has Macy’s Jc Penny’s and stores like that. They might just work! Hope this helps and good luck!
