I know this economy is horrible and a lot of people are going through rough times right now, but I was wondering if there is a mom out there who would be able to help us out with some baby girl clothes. This is a last resort. :*(
I just found out I have 2 cysts where they do not belong and can’t have them removed for 2 months until our baby girl is born because I can’t go under anesthesia. I’m in a lot of pain and there is nothing doctors can do until then. It’s been one struggle after another. My mother-in-law died of cancer, my mom has cancer, so we’ve had to deal with the related expenses, not to mention skyrocketing food and gas prices. All of these things have been hitting us at one time in the 2nd and 3rd trimester of my pregnancy, and we never thought we would be in this position. I am begging someone out there, if you have any baby girl clothes that you don’t need anymore, can you please e-mail me at proudmommy133@yahoo.com. Thank you for your time!
Thank you for the suggestion of alternate websites, but I tried Craigslist but just got a bunch of spam responses unrelated to my post. We’ve also tried Freecycle but haven’t had any luck. :*( This has been very disheartening.

I have tons of 3-6 month and 6-9 month sizes. I dont know if that will help. I have no newborn sizes anymore. I also have tons of baby supplies like bouncy seat, etc…. you can e-mail me at jojoizz@yahoo.com. I also have an infant car seat if you need it. Just have to fiqure out a way to ship it. Im sure there is though.

Is there anyone that is willing to give away thier used baby boy clothes? I am 20 years old and this is my second child, but because my first was a little girl, I do not have clothes for my little man. He is due Feb. 7, 2007 and I really need help. Feel free to IM me Shermia.trueheart or email me Shermia.trueheart@yahoo.com if you think you can help me. Thank you so much.
I have already tried craigslist.com and freecycle.org. i was looking for a mom on here that is willing to give up her clothes…or a swap cause i have a ton of baby girl clothes here.

You should try looking on craigslist.com. Choose the city near you and then click on the baby/kids link. (Or the clothes link.) A lot of people sell their kids’ old clothes at a huge mark down.

The other great place to buy used kids clothes is at garage sales. …Unfortunately, those are a little seasonal if you live in a colder state. You might pick up this weekend’s paper and see if there are any going on.

Good luck!

i want something expensive and designer for my baby. give links plz!

You’re not going to look like a better person for what you dress your baby in. You’re going to look like a moron for spending money on pointless things that A) your baby more than likely will not be comfortable in and B) will just be grown out of really quickly.

If you’re looking for an outfit for pictures or something, that still doesn’t make it any better.
Spend your money on things worth spending it on. Diapers, food, daycare, etc.
Don’t parade your baby around in designer clothes and expect to look better than the average person carrying a baby without designer clothes, because you won’t.

my 2 girls love wearing their new clothes but now they have stains all over them and i was planning on using them for school clothes this fall. anyone know th best way to get out set in stains like food or mud/dirt??someone tou.ld be to soak in biz..does that work???

vinegar or hydrogen peroxide. I keep a bottle of HP and place it in a squirt bottle. It is good for disinfecting counter tops, cutting boards, spot removal on everything, baths, tubs, hold in your mouth for one minute and swish it around and it whitens the teeth. Spray on hair a couple times a week to keep the hair blonde, also helps the scalp. It is the one thing that works like a charm, cost little, and environment friendly. If you use it in the mouth it may tingle a bit. Do not use everyday as it will make the gums tender, but kills bacteria that causes tooth decay and gum disease. If you use everyday for teeth, use some water with it.

My friend had given me a LOT of her old baby clothes from last year for my sisters TWINS!!!! yes I am so happy, I get free water cause I have all bill’s paid and I am going to wash them in drefet before I give it to her due to I don’t know what they washed it in, anyways long story short. What temp. Do I use to wash them in and also I am dry hanging them I don’t have a dryer. I have the portable washer that you hook up to your sink its great (go to walmart.com and type in washer) anyway so I just need to know the temp. And is it ok to fan dry the infant clothes? Oh and also I have the closet deoridzer in there is that ok if the clothes are in there drying? With the fan please help as soon as possible. First time in doing these things.

First, I disagree with washing cloths for a normal healthy bay in special detergent. The baby is going to come in contact with your clothes anyhow, which means that for it to really make a difference you’d need to wash everything in dreft. But, that isn’t what you’re asking.

For most normal laundry a cold wash is fine. If clothing has fresh stains a cold wash will prevent them from setting. The hotter the water the more ‘killing’ power it has. Cloth diapers are usually washed on warm or hot to kill any fecal matter, but this is usually ‘overkill’ for normal laundry.

For washing a baby’s clothes, stop over thinking it. Wash them the same way you would wash your own clothes. Yes, it is okay to fan dry a baby’s clothes, unless you have nasty things in your air that you would be blowing onto the clothes (like smoke).

Babies aren’t some alien creature. Use your common sense and apply what you know to baby clothes. You’ll be fine. Congrats on being an aunt!

Ive heard that abercrombie, hollister are cool. I need to kno wwhich kind is cooler and more popular. ALso i wear hawk clothes and shoes. WHich one of these are the best

Well in my opinion, Hollister is the best. Hollister is beachy and casual and very very preppy. Which most girls love. Abercrombie is a little to.. stuffy for my taste. But remember it totally depends on what image you want.

All I want is to buy sparkly glittery or sequen red Dorthy of the wizard of Oz type shoes in adult sizes without having a huge heel!! I can find cute childrens shoes or ‘ADULT’ almost fetish type shoes…red ot dead did some but only up to size 7 and I am a womens size 9! Who would have thought it would be SO hard! Any ideas? I dont want to spend $200 on a custom made pair!

www.footdresser.com – Loads of different types od sparkly red shoes with varying heel heights including flat. They post international and are CHEAP!

and ppl think he is a spoiled brat. Well my kid isnt a brat and he is well behaved. Why is it tht people think because you have money your kid is a rich brat…get to know the kid first people!
As a child I was dirt poor and now I have the lifestyle where I can provide everything for my son *toddler* and people say he is spoiled (I dont think he is, I say he’s blessed) Rich or poor, just cant win!

There’s nothing wrong with spoiling your child. You’re the parent, you know your kid best than anyone else.

For me, though, and this is my opinion. I want to show my children love in other ways. Most people associate love with giving of material belongings. I do give my kids books, toys and clothes but I am conscious of doing it only when they’re deserving of them. Otherwise, they get my time, attention and outings.

I show them that I love them in different ways. It’s important to me because love does not always equal material things. Besides, they have to earn what they get otherwise they may grow up thinking that the world owes them something. Nobody owes them anything and they won’t get anywhere unless they work hard, right?

Spoiling a child can happen in different ways. Not just material belongings. A child may be a brat because they don’t get positive attention at home and so goes around misbehaving because that’s the only way they get attention. The best way to avoid this is through lots of positive reinforcement.

Most people do tend to think that children whose parents happen to have money are spoiled. It may be because they believe the children don’t learn to be appreciative of what they have. Maybe because they think that the children don’t learn to sympathize with children who don’t have as much. As a teacher, I’ve seen many
"rich" kids being unnecessarily cruel to other children.

I’d say, go ahead, give your child what they want and need if you can. That’s our dream as parents isn’t it? However, it may be a good idea to also volunteer at a homeless shelter, or teach him/her to donate clothing or toys. Teach them about our social responsibilities and they’ll be even better than they are now.

I am so worried for my little boy to come home. I’m worrying about my planned csection going well, if he’s gonna be completely healthy, how he’s gonna do on his tests, and everything!

Plus I’m worrying about when I bring him home. Like will he eat and sleep normally. And really stupid things, like how do I hold him when I give him a bath? And other scary things like what if my cat trips me while I’m walking with him in my arms? Or what if he hits his head on the side of the crib? I literally am thinking the worst about everything! Plus I’m thinking things that I’m sure are totally irrelevant, and would land me a one way trip to the loony bin! lol

I’m even worrying about things that I don’t have to think about for YEARS! I seriously thought, the other day, "what if I don’t have the money to buy him all the cool clothes he wants for his first day of high school?" Are you serious! haha. I am going nuts.

I’m even wondering about if certain lotions will irritate his little baby skin, of if his diapers will be too big/small and be uncomfortable for him. I can’t get my head to shut up. Please tell me this is normal! Are you a worry wort too? Or have I gone off the deep end?

its natural, doesnt matter if its ur 1st or 21st there can be sooo many worries, there are no do this do that manuals that are given to parents when babies come and each are soo different its impossible!

it’ll come to you or if your still unsure get the midwife/healthvisitor to show you when baby’s here thats what they are there for. i remember giving both of mine there first bath i was soo paraniod about if there was too much water not enough, too hot too cold ect ect, and as for the cat well……….. i did trip over mine when my 1st one was 3months old i ended up in such a panick i think i was more hysterical than she was, literally ran 3miles to the hospital to be told she was fine!

as the saying goes it’ll all be alright when it comes out of the wash :O)
