I have lots of baby clothes to sell and I can’t find any consignment stores for children. I live near the airport and I’m looking for anything on Oahu.
What I would do is to take nice pictures and give a good description and put them up for sale on Ebay. I use ebay all the time and purchase "Lots" of clothing so I can outfit them all at once and for cheap. Seriously check it out and you might even find yourself buying your kids school clothes there too!
I have seen the eBay answers, old navy and target. I would like something else besides thoses. Whoever can get me something besides those will get their deserved points.
Honestly, I’d say Ebay, or youre local craigslist.org if you’re really looking for a discount.
You can get brand new clothing from various clothing lines, new with out tags, or new with tags from ebay and because children grow out of them so fast, there are a lot of gently used ones on there too for muc much less that you’d get them at a store for.
If you go for clothing lots (more than 3 items in auction), you’ll save even more – the only negative is that you have to pay for shipping, uness they are located close enough to pick it up and give you that option. You can always ask fro combined shipping if you win auction from the same seller. Be sure to ask, not assume.
Ebay sellers usually consist of private sellers looking to get rid of stuff they no longer need, but still has value, or something they never used, and warehouses. All of last years collection for baby Gap, Osh-kosh, etc. could wind up on Ebay
make sure to use key terms when doing your search narrowing by size, color, (lot, more than 3 items), price range could help you find what you’re looking for faster.
This service requires an account and usually an online payment account (money order mailings can go wrong), so you’re covered. You place a bid on an item and keep track of in the event you get outbid. "Buy it now products’ are good to. You can purchase them right away for the price mentioned, but isn’t half the fun of shopping getting it for as cheap as possible and that’s auction style usually.
To make sure you’re getting a good deal, you can look up the item in a search engine like yahoo or on Amazon.com and see what they are offering it for.
Craig’s List works much the same way, but it’s not auctioning. it’s just locals looing to get rid of things and it’s usually first come, first served. Whomever meets the asking price gets it. don’t be afraid to negotiate though. most items on craig’s list can be negotiated for, espacially if purchasing a lot of items.
This service just requires and email address.
P.S. make sure to wash everything (no matter where it comes from) before putting it on your child. This goes for all clothing items for anyone.
P.P.S. I sell brand new stuff dirt cheap on Ebay and CL all of the time. I also purchased more than my fare share. I change my entire wardrobe with little or no cost to me this way. I’ve bought designer for less than $10. The great thing about CL, is there is also a barter section. So, even if you’re flat broke and need something, there is a place where you can see if you have something anyone else needs at the time and you can trade. GREAT!
I would like to open a boutique for girls from toddlers to 15 years of age. Can anyone tell me how the market is for girl’s clothing and where I can begin my research.
Also do anyone know if it’s better financially to start a virtual boutique or a brick and mortar boutique?
It’s a pretty good market. I suggest you rent out maybe a small shop instead of a website. Try and rent it where there are other little things like ice cream shops, pet shops, things like that. I’m thinking all the age range would take up a bit more then it should…maybe you could range it from toddler to 7 years…or maybe 10 years to 15. That would make more sense. Having the toddler to 7 range would be best though I believe!
Buy a dresser, then while in control of the toddler, click on the dresser and select "plan outfit." (:
I would like to pick up a few baby outfits for my niece’s American Girl doll, but can’t afford to order the ones from their company. Has anyone tried to fit them into regular baby clothes?
they wont fit
baby clothes are wider in the waist then the american girl dolls
agd, are miniature versions of girls averaging to be about 10 years old. so the are very slender. baby clothes are shorter and rounder and wont fit. but u can always look on ebay, or u can try to look at normal toy stores. there are cheaper versions of american girl doll, and the clothes should still fit but will be very less expensive.
What is the measurement? It’s usually in years instead og sizes.
HELLO, my name is Tori, I am due to have a baby girl in two months and i don’t have enough cute things for her! Craigslist is even too expensive for me right now :[ If someone can help me out wit used clothes it would be lifesaving. I can pay for shipping i live all the way up in alaska.
Your best bet is to go to stores like The Salvation Army or look for those occasional giveaways in the paper.
I’ve tried walmart but their selection for baby boys clothes is rather slim
I just found baby boy clothes on sale at Target today. I bought shirts for $1.40 and .98 cents each and shorts for .98 cents each. I stock up whenever I find a good deal like that. Old Navy has cute clothes. Also The Children’s Place has really cute clothes and the one by me puts their whole store on sale for .99 cents each sometimes. All the other times their items are usually at least 50 percent off.
I want to buy "skate" type designer baby clothes but i can’t really find what I want on ebay. anyone know of any good sites?

My kids have a few stained shirts and I just hate to throw them away! We were on vacation and I couldn’t treat the stains properly, therefore the stains are set. What do you do with your stained stuff? Ideally I’d like to somehow give them to the homeless or someone that has nothing, and would wear a stained shirt. These clothes are fairly new and have plenty of life in them. What do you do?
My son once had a super cute "baseball jersey" type shirt that got completely covered with ice tea stains the first time he wore it! I was so bummed! So I filled the bathroom sink with warm water and a bunch of the powder OxyClean and let it sit for about two days. During that time I stirred the water a bunch and changed the water a few times. Then, after about 2 days, I ran it again through the machine and the stains had all come out! I’m sure it depends of the color of the shirt and what the stain is from (like, ice tea vs Sharpie), but this technique worked for me! Good luck!!!
